Being a native Oregonian, I have my share of local favorites.
Quick Wit Beer from Fort George Brewing located in Astoria, Oregon - This is a cloudy pale Belgian Style beer which tastes of wheat, spice, and lemongrass with very little, if any, bitterness.
- Stumptown Tart Belgian Style Ale from BridgePort Brewing out of Portland, Oregon - As the name suggests, a mixture of Oregon grown berries (this year raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries) has been added to a Belgian yeast based brew to produce a tart fruity ale which is light & refreshing. Perfect on a hot day.
- McMenamins Terminator Stout - Highly reminiscent of Young's Double Chocolate Stout, this dark full bodied ale is made from kiln-baked specialty grains to produce toasty nutty coffee-esc flavors.
Of course, there exist a virtual plethora of Oregon beers I haven't tried yet, which is what Oregon Craft Beer Month is all about. In order to expose drinkers, like me, to a wider array of locally crafted brews, this month will be peppered with promotional events including:

Happy Drinking! :-)
